About Philip Melugin

Philip Melugin has more than twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry, with the majority of that time spent in healthcare administration. As president and owner of Phoenix Home Care, Inc. in Springfield Missouri, Melugin has led the healthcare company to $19 million annual earnings in a little more than one year of business.

Philip Melugin ’s healthcare career began in 1990. After obtaining his Master of Education from Wichita State University with a specialty in counseling, he joined Conservco/Intracor as a vocational counselor. During his time there, Philip Melugin helped people who had been injured on the job prepare to go back to work.

In 1992, Philip Melugin moved from Kansas to Missouri to accept a position as assistant vice president of Oxford Healthcare. During his seven years with Oxford, Philip Melugin worked to market the company as well as managing the state contract program. It was great preparation for his next role, as co-owner and president of Integrity Health Care in Springfield, a company that served 4,000 clients and employed 2,400 healthcare professionals.

Today, Philip Melugin serves as owner and president of Phoenix Home Care, Inc. Phoenix Home Care emphasizes one-on-one customer service, providing each client with compassionate care customized to their individual needs. Philip Melugin and his management team deliberately select workers who share the company’s core values and provide training that emphasizes those values.

Since founding Phoenix Home Care, Philip Melugin has grown the organization to 700 skilled employees. The business has experienced such growth that work to expand is already underway, with the company’s Springfield office taking over the space next to it and other offices soon to follow.

Currently, Phoenix Home Care serves clients throughout Missouri and Kansas. Philip Melugin and the team at Phoenix provide private duty nursing and other paid private medical services throughout Missouri. In Kansas, Phoenix Home Care provides in-home care throughout the state. In addition to nursing services, Phoenix Home Care offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, among many other services.

CHAP, which stands for Community Health Accreditation Program, is a strict accrediting body for healthcare organizations that holds members to a high standard of quality. CHAP membership also provides Phoenix Home Care preferred Medicare provider status.
